Patient Info
Your First Visit
At your first visit to our office the doctor and his assistant will conduct a very thorough examination. Using a series of x-rays, photos and intra-oral examination they will develop an individualized treatment plan for you. You will then be seen by one of our hygienists to begin your journey to optimum oral health.
There are of course those patients who arrive at our office under emergency circumstances. In these cases our goal is always to relieve them of any discomfort as soon as possible. This usually involves a very specific examination and x-ray of the area concerned and a plan to get you feeling better as soon as possible.
Whether you arrive at our office under routine circumstances or on an emergency basis, the dentist and assistant will review your medical history to ensure we provide you with the best possible dental treatment. Please be prepared to provide contact names for your family doctor and a list of any medications you may be taking.
Appointment
Your dental appointment is considered confirmed at the time of booking. This means we are reserving time with our doctor, assistant and hygienist, as well as operatory space as required. We will be sterilizing and preparing the operatory space as well as all the equipment and materials required for your procedure. We therefore request that if you are unable to attend the scheduled appointment you contact our office with 48 hours’ notice to reschedule. As a courtesy we will notify you 3 days prior by email reminder if you provide our office with a current email address, alternatively we will telephone 1 day prior to remind you of the appointment you have booked.
